Jim Adams

Jim Adams is president of Binnean, LLC, and serves as a board member and advisor to family offices and families. He ran two different family offices in Dallas before retiring to pursue more focused, strategic involvement with families and family offices as well as nonprofit leadership opportunities. He has recently served as chair of Social Innovation Lab of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, as well as a vice chair of its Unite Forever Campaign. He was involved in fundraising for The Commit Partnership and Child Action Poverty Lab through their Opportunity 2040 Fund. Among the organizations he has served as a board member are Honored (a national nonprofit that celebrates teachers and promotes the teaching profession), Texas Methodist Foundation, YMCA of the Rockies, YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and Dallas Area Rapid Transit.

Adams began his career as a partner at Gardere Wynne Sewell, LLP. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Science in finance from Louisiana State University.
