About the Dallas College Promise Scholarship

In 2017, Dallas College became one of the pioneering members of the national Promise movement - an effort to dramatically expand and coordinate the tuition support available to students who want to get a college education. In the years since, Dallas College Foundation has provided the Dallas College Promise Scholarship to over 26,000 students.

In 2024, we dramatically expanded the Promise. Working alongside our partners at the Commit Partnership, we’re taking bold new steps to move from a promise of college access to a promise of economic mobility. From launching the new Economic Mobility Center to enhancing and expanding our barrier-busting student supports, we’re working together towards an ambitious shared goal:
By 2040, at least half of all young adults in Dallas County (ages 25-34) will earn a living wage.
