Call for Proposals: Emerging Tech Symposium at Dallas College

Dallas College is excited to announce a call for proposals for the Emerging Tech Symposium, taking place on Friday, October 18th at the North Lake Campus. This one-day event will bring together industry leaders, higher education professionals, and students to explore the latest advancements and applications of emerging technologies.

Who Should Apply:

We invite industry leaders, higher education professionals, and students with expertise and passion for emerging technologies to submit proposals for engaging and informative sessions.

We are seeking impactful, interactive, and engaging sessions that address the following topics:

  • Emerging Technology: Dive into Blockchain, AI, VR/AR, IoT, Cloud Computing and much more. Explore the future and how we can harness these innovations.
  • Utilizing Emerging Tech in the Classroom: Strategies and best practices for integrating new technologies into college courses.
  • Utilizing Emerging Tech in the Workplace: How organizations can leverage emerging technologies to enhance productivity and operations.
  • Future of Work: The evolving landscape of work and the role of technology in shaping future careers and workplaces.

Session Format and Submission Details:

  • Sessions should be planned for 45 minutes.
  • Proposals must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. (Central) on Friday, August 30.
  • A committee will review each proposal using the following selection criteria:
    • Relevance and impact: Potential to influence and improve practices in education and industry.
    • Clarity and engagement: Clearly stated learning objectives and methods for engaging the audience.
    • Alignment with symposium themes: Relevance to the designated topics of emerging technology and its applications.
    • Quality of writing: Proposals should be clear, concise, and free of errors.
