Mark Paul
Mark joined UBS in 2009 after 24-years at Smith Barney. As a Senior Vice President, Mark serves primarily as the team leader and coordinator of all Private Client relationships.
In this demanding restaurant environment, Mark gained an understanding for all aspects of the business and built his professional foundation around hard work, organization, communication and trust. He also developed first-hand knowledge of the challenges his clients, many of whom are restaurateurs, face. He developed a passion for leading and serving others and exceeding their expectations.
This passion naturally translated into the financial services industry where Mark, along with his partner Pat Carrigan, structured a wealth management team with a broad set of skills, credentials and experience to help high net worth individuals and their families articulate, manage and achieve their unique wealth goals across multiple generations. With goals-based wealth management at the core of all relationships, Mark prides himself on this ability to listen, understand and lead his clients through complex financial terrain so they can pursue their passions and interests without worrying about their financial direction. Mark is an expert advisor and a true advocate for his clients.
Mark earned his degree in Business and Finance from Southern Methodist University. He also holds the Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life and health and insurance licenses. Mark and his wife Jenay reside in Dallas Texas. In addition to spending time with his three grown children and seven grandchildren with one more on the way in May, Mark enjoys the outdoor life through skiing, boating, and travel.
Mark has been an active participant on the SMU Advisory Board for over 8 years. With his in depth hospitality experience, Mark enjoys playing the role of sounding board to entrepreneurial restaurateurs. He is currently chairing the task force working with the Culinary, Pastry & Hospitality program.
