About the Sustainable Dallas College Program
Sustainability has three major components: Equity, Environment, and Economy. All three components are interconnected and all three must be strong and healthy to have a thriving local and global society. If one area is ailing, it negatively affects the other two areas. (Think of sustainability as a three-legged stool; all three legs must be strong, or the stool cannot support its load.)
Dallas College is working to become an environmental and sustainability leader in our community and continues to advocate for the wise use of natural, financial, and human resources through mindful education and actions. Our commitment to sustainability impacts our everyday decisions from our academic offerings to our architecture and campus operations. We also have incorporated the United Nations 17 Sustainable Goals (SDGs) as part of our college’s strategic sustainability plan.
